/unsigned and you should be taken out of your house and shot in the back of the head for thinking it's all about the weapons and that people should get stuff for free that others spent money on out of their own wallet

The BMP weapons are customized, promo items. Just like:
* Canthan Targe
* Bone Idol
* Ithas Bow
* Chimeric Prism
* War Pick
* Censor's Icon
* Dragon Fangs
* Spiritbinder
* Icy Soulbreaker Of Enchanting
* Fiery Sunspear Of Shelter
* Glacial Blade
* Hourglass Staff
* Darksteel Longbow

I find it unreasonable, that people are demanding what equates to reselling a pre-order item.

Would you also demand that Anet resell pre-order keys?

Pre-order keys were free.
They were available for a limited time.
They gave access to some really cool skins.

Im sure lots of people missed their chance at those. I for one, would LOVE to have all of the Prophecies pre-orders, since I'm a bit of a completist. But i know its not gonna happen.

The missions are a different entity.
It is real content. Its new skills. Its new music. New cinemas. It gives insight into characters in Guild Wars history and lore.

This isnt just a bunch of new weapon skins. The content should be available to all.

With one exception. Anyone who can prove that there was a valid reason that they couldn't (not wouldn't) buy from the online store during the very large qualifying period should be allowed to access the missions.

There are no new music.
Those new skills can't be learned, they are Temporary skills part of the missions.

The Day of Tengu was not 'items'. And was part of Guild Wars history.

Sorry, but. No.

They have to choose: All content available, or keep limited content limited. Either one or the other. Not partial.

Well, more than half the people who want the bonus pack want the weapons that come with it, so if they just release the bonus pack with no weapons not many more people are going to buy it.

It would be a better business decision on their part to allow it as an online purchase for $5-$10. Why would they give it away for free? That would be dumb. It's not a huge update, but obviously time and effort was spent in its design. Anet probably saves a fair bit of cost by selling through the online store, so those of us who received the MBP have already paid our dues, in a manner of speaking.

Haven't really come out on top as the BMP effectively cost me £10.06 (just over $20) - because I only bought EotN through the online store to get the BMP and it cost £24.95, wheras I could have bought it from a store for £14.89 AND got a printed box, CD etc. If I'd have thought that the BMP would be available to buy at a later date I would have opted for the cheaper store version of EotN rather than the expensive digital download.

Well its bad business practice and Anet are not dumb. They certainly realise that if they compromise on the BMP this time, then the next time they make a similar promotion those customers Anet would otherwise count on to support them would be justifiably reluctant to purchase on the online store, and would unlikely fall for the same trick again.

Releasing unpaid content is unfair to Arenanet.

I want, and wanted the BMP for the mission to be honets here. I don't care about weapon skins. Sure I think some are nice, but meh.

I want the story, and that's all. So far, I have been loving the GWs story. I love GWEN, even tho i know some of you don't liek her at all. I want to know MORE!! Knowledge is power, after all.

Weapon skins have no value to me as a player. Sure, they make us look nice whilst in combat, or when we're showing off. But in the end, it means nothing.

I dig the story line. I just wish my bank hadn't blocked the Anet Store like they did.

I have the BMP, but I wouldn't be against them re-opening the promotion. Especially now that there is a little bit more to purchase on the online store. If the promotion is run again, I personally don't see anything wrong with it.

These are not pre-order weapons. You don't just type /bonus - you do have to work a little for them. They're also gold, unmodded and inscribable. Pre-order weapons are blue & damaged by often naff mods - functional, sure, but mostly just as hero fodder.

Even so, I've always asked for the pre-order packs to be combined into a new GotYE style weapon pack. They're just so useful. I was thinking of buying a second account recently and the main reason I didn't was that I wouldn't have access to all those pre-order weapons. Since heroes were introduced, those weapons are not simply a bonus, they're a must.

Either offer the whole thing for sale or re-run the promotion. The company's priority is to make money to keep itself running, not to offer you the total gw lore experience.... I don't care if people get it later, and everyone ends up with it. I would care if it just gets given away- I didn't really want to order GWEN through the store but I did just for this. I think splitting it weapons/missions is just a huge headache, and there would be camps on all the possible whining sides about it.

Anet gave everyone plenty of time to meet the requirements to earn the BMP. If you couldn't somehow meet them in the 2-3 months? they gave us then tough luck.

BTW, people spent money in the in game store for the missions, we didn't know we'd be getting weapons with the pack.

Which means, you can play the missions. But you cannot get the weapons.
And the point of that would be?

Seriously, the missions last 20 minutes or so, and there really isn't much to them. They are only worth doing over and over because of the weapons. That's not to say that they're not fun. I enjoy doing Saul and Togo's mission, but after a week or so I can see them just being "meh".

I'm very surprised st the sheer volums of people who are now complaining about not taking ArenaNet up on their promotion. It's sad.
